2018 LFM Sponsorships

Dear Community Member,

For 17 years the Lewisburg Farmer’s Market has brought fresh, in-season food to the residents of the Greater Greenbrier Valley,  provided a vibrant market to support our local farm families, and encouraged the special relationship between customers and growers. This year we continue our mission of marketing the highest quality West Virginia produced food and supporting our farmers.

Every year we hold two fundraisers to support the efforts of the LFM. Money raised goes toward the salary for our Market Manager, fees associated with accepting SNAP, credit cards, and EBT, and advertising to better connect with the community. You can be a part of our mission, and benefit in the process. Download and mail in the sponsor letter, or Donate from here.

2018 LFM Special Projects

The LFM Cafe’ – every Saturday vendors and guest chefs showcase food straight from market vendors with recipes for what’s in season.
SNAP – we accept SNAP coupons and have applied for a SNAP doubling grant to increase farmer reach and provide access to fresh nutritious food to low income neighbors.

The Pollinator Project – in 2017 LFM planted a 12’ x 25’ pollinator garden in collaboration with the Rainelle Elementary Agricultural Learning Center, supplying curriculum and volunteers. We are expanding to Frankford Elementary in 2018.
Monthly Special Events – from chocolate to garlic, each month LFM will host a themed event at the market with kids’ activities and special treats and music for adults.

Youth Outreach – with guidance of their mentors, students of the Davis Stuart, and the Greenbrier West culinary programs will be cooking at the LFM Cafe’ on a regular basis. 4H and young vendors set up free at LFM. Students participating in the Pollinator Project are invited to sell sunflower starts in the Spring, and Pumpkins in the fall at LFM to raise money for their schools.

Your partially tax deductible support will help, and will be rewarded! Please consider becoming a sponsor of the 2018 LFM. Choose a level of participation, and either mail back the letter above with your check, or donate at the top of this page. Thank you so much.
