History of the Market:
The Lewisburg Farmers Market has been serving the community since 2001, it started with just a handful of producers meeting casually on Saturdays, but has grown into a thriving non-profit corporation. Lewisburg Farmers’ Market, Inc, is currently comprised of approximately 20 vendor members. The market is governed by a board of directors elected from the market’s active membership. The board assures that the market is operating within the mission of the market, of providing a location for the community to purchase fresh, locally grown products directly from the producer. The day-to-day operations are managed by the Market Manager.
The Lewisburg Farmers Market is a member of the West Virginia Farmers Market Association, Buy Fresh Buy Local® West Virginia, and the Lewisburg Chamber of Commerce.
